Nutrition in 2010World’s leading nutrition specialists announced that 2010 will be the year of healthy nutrition. They are convinced that healthy eating will be the year’s trend No. 1, and that is why the American Dietetic Association published a list of the most recommended and healthiest food which have to be included to everyone’s diet and daily nutrition  in 2010. According to Katherine Tallmadge, the ADA spokeswoman, all these foods are very beneficial, low in calories and available in most stores and markets in the US and around the world.

1. In 2010, include various grains like rye , barley or oat, to your diet. Many researches demonstrated that grains (in particular, dense rye dread and other products) can lower cholesterol levels very effectively and decrease the risks of having heart problems. Also, rye products can help avoid developing such diseases as type 2 diabetes and cardio-vascular diseases. Regular barley consumption is also associated with lower chances to have diabetes and more effective weight management.

2.Oliy Fish In the context of healthy nutrition in 2010, make a habit of eating trout, salmon, fresh tuna, herring and other types of oily fish 2 times a week. This food is rich in very valuable nutrients such as vitamin D and omega fatty acids. Eating oily fish is very useful, Tallmadge says. “It cuts inflammation in the body that can lead to heart problems. It’s a good source of vitamin D and also contains omega-3 fatty acids that keep the brain and heart healthy.”

3. All the year long, try eating moderate amounts of soy products. According to the recent findings of the FDA specialists, soy products can assist in fighting against cancer and coronary heart disease, as well as provide our body with good amounts of proteins. The experts recommend using low-fat soy products that have more than 6.25 grams of soy protein that is the best daily dose.

4. Red WineIn 2010, it is officially recommended to let yourself have a little bit of red wine on a regular basis. Usually, nutrition specialists refrain from recommending alcoholic beverages, but this time they are convinced that in small doses (150 ml a day for women and about 250 ml – for men) can be useful for our health. Red wine is the product which is reported to have the most antioxidants known for their anti-aging and anti-cancer effects.

5. To complement you healthy nutrition in 2010, drink good amounts of green tea. Not only 1-2 cups a day, but up to 5-6 cups. Tallmage says that green tea is extremely healthy and can guarantee longevity, as well as the recommended diet in general. “If you are trying to cut down on sugar, and are looking for a drink alternative, why not green tea? Or a better snack at night can be rye crackers instead of chips. It’s all a matter of balance and good nutrition.”
